The Board of Directors of the McGannon Foundation has been very active the last 12 months. It has been an exciting year from a number of perspectives. I would like to thank them for their efforts and numerous volunteer hours. Their passion for the growth of the McGannon Foundation seems endless. They are truly a dedicated board focused on raising the profile of our profession.
Now let me inform you as to our accomplishments:
- We granted six scholarships to students in risk management totalling $15,000.
- Continued our support of the Junior Achievement Program in Central Ontario with a $5000 grant.
- Raised over $84,000 last year with the continued support from our perpetual donors and friends.
- Grown our assets to approx. $450,000
- Launched a new program, the McGannon Student Involvement program for the RIMS Canada Conference, Toronto 2008.
These accomplishments are tremendous! We look forward to another year of growth and prosperity in the awards and programs we offer. Thank you all for your continued support in the McGannon Foundation's endeavours. It has been a rewarding year for me personally as the president.
